This was a one-off (a gift actually) to someone with tropical-themed decor. I made it with driftwood I collected on the coast. It is serves as a hat rack and also a shelf.
This was actually created and entered in the contest for "World's Best Gift-Wrapper" sponsored by Scotch Tape and promoted on the Ellen Show. Not a winner, sadly, but I thought worth the smile to share the video and the artistry that went into this wrapping using all different kinds of Scotch brand tapes. The decorative papers that were used, had two-sided scotch tape to adhere it to cardboard and to the box, and Many of the features of the Nutcracker were the decorative/patterned Scotch tapes that you see at the beginning of the video. It was a fun project, none the less.
I made this for a fairytale themed event, the bar had this bean stalk going up the middle of the tent-16' high.
Leaves constructed of foam bought at Joann Fabrics and stitched and supported with wire.
An old sewing machine cabinet repurposed into a cabinet/end table and a thrift store coffee table find given a new shabby chic life.
The raw wood box was purchased at Michael's and signs cut from thin plywood.
With the help of a brilliant electrician and friend, we created this trombone lamp. The light dims when moving the slider. All the parts are pieces of broken things or purchased at a thrift store or were in a junk pile. I love giving things new life!
I used polystyrene for the bases and bought plastic plant stems from Michael's which I painted and glittered to give the feel of underwater coral.
Bathroom Mural I painted in the powder bathroom of a home outside of Nashville, TN.
This faux look was painted on thin plywood to cover a temporary wenger stage.
